MAHA SHIVARATRI
THE GREAT NIGHT OF SHIVA, KIRTAN AND PUJA

Om Namah Shivaya
Journey with us on this sacred night as our Bhakti Community gathers for an extended evening of Shiva Kirtan Chanting, Shiva Puja offering, and Shiva Meditation. This yearly spiritual Kirtan practice creates a vibrational attunement (Bhava) with our essential inner Shiva Nature, our Unified Divine Self. Our focused Shiva awareness drops away our illusions of separation connecting us with everyone, everything and to the Supreme Oneness of all Existence. We become free to directly experience our own True Divine Nature. Everyone is invited to come up anytime during the evening to the Shiva Lingam Puja and pour water as a symbolic act of pouring your Love into the world. This is a 2 part Celebration, Sat. and Sun.

Break out of the doldrums of winter and re-emerge anew.

VASANTA SPRING NAVARATRI KIRTANS
NINE NIGHTS OF DIVINE MOTHER MEDITATIONS

Nine Nights of the Divine Mother
As a Community, we meet and Celebrate the Divine Mother with 2 Sunday Kirtans during Navaratri. You are also invited to engage in an individual inner practice of chanting, meditation and contemplation with Maha Shakti for nine nights. Our inner spiritual journey begins this year on Saturday April 6th with the first three nights devoted to Maha Kali, Om Krim Maha Kaliyae Namaha. The following 3 nights for Maha Lakshmi, Om Shrim Maha Lakshmiyae Namaha. The final three nights for Maha Saraswati, Om Aim Maha Saraswatiyae Namah. We turn our awareness inward to hear a deeper voice that guides us to manifesting our own True Nature in connection with Nurturing Source. Twice a year we deepen our personal practice for nine nights on an inner journey using chants, prayers, mantras and meditations focusing on the Divine Mother within. Navaratri brings us an opportunity to attune to the teachings and attributes of each of three personifications of the Divine Mother, embracing our inherent inner Divine Feminine powers. We focus our attention on Maha Kali Durga, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati, each for three nights, as our own Divine qualities which we have already have, and sometimes fail to recognize. We turn our Awareness inward to embrace everything in our experience and integrate all of Life, inside and out. Maha Kali reintegrates the parts of ourselves we have abandoned and resist. We can welcome the unknown, pain, and even our darkest thoughts,to be absorbed into the Light of Awareness. Maha Lakshmi pours out Abundance in response to our Gratitude, and embraces us with Love in all circumstances. Maha Saraswati allows the Flow of the voice of our Whole Heart to find expression and Shine in this world. We enter into the realm of the Infinite Self, the place in us that never changes. Only there can we experience the direct Truth of who we are, and not who we think we are. Learn more… Navaratri explained by Mata Amritananadamayi Devi

SRI HANUMAN JAYANTI KIRTAN

Om Sri Hanumate Namaha
We gather to activate our Spiritual Courage to access our Divine Super Powers in this Kirtan Celebration focused on our inner Hero, Hanuman. Sri Rama asks a very significant question to Sri Hanuman: “Who are you?” Sri Hanuman replies, “As body, O Lord, I am Your humble servant, as an individual, I am a part of You, and as the Supreme, I am Yourself.” The great message is that every one has the potential to realize one’s True Divine identity while living in the material world. Hanuman is symbolic of the perfect mind that serves Dharma (Spiritual Heart), and embodies the highest potential humanity can achieve. Hanuman appears to us in monkey form, representing our “monkey minds” jumping from one idea to another. He shows us the mastery of mind using the path of pure bhakti (devotion), allowing the mind to be made aware of its profound and silent Essence. Hanuman is created by Shiva, who is The Supreme Consciousness of Oneness, sent to dispel thoughts and beliefs that separate us from the Truth of who we are. Shri Hanuman teaches us of the unlimited Divine power that lies unused within each of us. When we chant to Sri Hanuman, we are imbibing his qualities of Faithful Courage, selfless service, and one-pointed devotion, which will lead us to Self Remembering, moving toward the Union of the individual soul with the Universal Soul. His stories teach the Universal Principal of giving all with no thought of return, enabling us to receive the Greatest Gifts imaginable. Sri Hanuman is the representation of the Strengths we have to continually cultivate the mind to serve Pure Love. We have the power to change the way we receive life, and by changing our mind’s perceptions of life, we have the power of changing our world as Strength receiving.

GURU PURNIMA KIRTAN AND COLLECTIVE ALTAR

Om Sri Gurubho Namaha
This special Kirtan and Puja is a full-moon Celebration Honoring all Gurus and Teachers that guide us to the Pure Light of Love within and awaken us to realize our own True Nature. The full moon known as “Purnima” symbolizes the fullness of our True Self of Pure Love, Divinity and Unity. Guru is the pure loving Intelligence, which illuminates darkness of our ignorance, and reveals our essential Self, Atman, in our direct experience. This is a time to reflect on our relationship to our inner Guru Wisdom, and express our deepest Gratitude for those who have guided us.
Bring your sacred items for our collective Altar honoring all our Gurus and guiding intelligence.

SRI KRISHNA JAYANTI KIRTAN

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Our Sunday Kirtan this week focuses on the Lover and the Beloved as One, reveling in Joy and overflowing in Love. Join us and fall madly in Love, seeing the Divine in Everyone and Everything. We honor the Avatar Sri Krishna who came to teach us how to live wholeheartedly in the world. How to be in the world and not of it. All One. “Speaking about Sri Krishna is like introducing one to One’s Self. Life is not mathematics, science, logic or philosophy. It is a continuous flow of experience. We can transform our lives into an experience of spreading happiness to one and all. Sri Krishna’s life was the perfect example of this. If all our infinite, innate auspicious qualities were to take the form of a human being, the beautiful result would be Lord Krishna. He expressed the infinite power inherent in humankind to its fullness.”  ~ Mata Amritanandamayi

SRI GANESHA KIRTAN

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha
We begin every Kirtan singing to our inner wisdom as Sri Ganesha. We begin by directing our attention inward and focusing on our Hearts. Through telling the stories of Sri Ganesha, and Chanting the Sacred Names, we reveal a deeper relationship each of us has with our own True Divine Nature, as God manifesting in form. The boy Ganesha (ego identity), born of the Divine Mother Parvati (Eternal Power), dies at the hands of Shiva (Supreme Consciousness) and is reborn into his Eternal God-Self (Atman). Demonstrating the death and rebirth necessary in embracing our True Identity in service to Love on Earth. Sri Ganesha is a spiritual principle representing a shift in our identity from the small separate individual ego self, to the Unified Wholehearted Self. The Divine qualities of Sri Ganesha are our own individual powers of strength, courage, resilience and discernment to listen more and more to the Heart’s desire to live Life serving Love. As Lord of Gateways, symbolically, he leads us through the Gateway of our choice between Maya (the illusions we create with our egos) and into loving our True Divine Nature, as the Voice of the Pure Heart of Love. This embodiment of Spiritual Awakening, of walking through the Gateway, releases the conditioning, limitations and fixations of our ego driven mind, and allows us true freedom to access to the deep knowledge of our Heart’s Wisdom and Pure Joy. This is why we always begin our Kirtans by chanting to Sri Ganesha. Without making this choice we would not be able to remember our True Nature and our Natural connection to Nurturing source.

DIWALI KIRTAN-THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT

Kirtan and Candle Lighting Puja, Celebrating our Inner Light of Love!
In this Kirtan offering, you are invited to light a candle on the altar as a symbol of your Love of your inner Light, while we chant together. Use this sacred moment to turn your Awareness inward and Love the larger Truth of the Brilliant Light of your Divine Nature. We celebrate and fuel our own small light of love and faith that Shines into the darkness of fear and hatred in the world around us. Together, our many tiny flickering lights can shine like the sun and illuminate the whole world.
“May the oil lamps of Selflessness and Divine Love that shine in your Hearts become the Light of the World. For this to happen, we must awaken to our true nature, which is love. This love should reverberate in each and every aspect of our life.” ~ Mata Amritanandamayi
